On the morning of December 17, 2018, the ceremony of opening Le Quy Don High School for gifted students was organized. Mr. Le Thanh Quang, Member of Party Central Committee, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Le Tien Anh, Chairman of the Board of Members – General Director of Khanh Viet Corporation (Khatoco), the sponsor for building this school and many representatives of departments, organizations in Khanh Hoa province together with 350 students of Le Quy Don High School attended this ceremony.
On behalf of the sponsor, Mr. Le Tien Anh said “As approved by Khanh Hoa People’s Committee, on April 6, 2015, Khatoco decided to use VND153 billion to sponsor for building Le Quy Don High School. This school has the total area of 45,000 m2 and is located in Bac Hon Ong, Phuoc Dong Commune, Nha Trang City. After 3 years of construction, the first phase of this project has been finished. The school has enough basic infrastructure and full facilities to meet the requirements of advanced education.
Being modernly designed, the school has 1 five-storey block for administrative offices, 1 four-storey block for academic subject departments ; 3 three-storey blocks for classrooms; 2 four-storey blocks for dormitory; one two-storey block for canteen and other activities. This is a great meaningful education event of Khanh Hoa Province. For the first time, a business in the province financed to build a national standard high school for gifted students. Khatoco firmly believes that Le Quy Don High School will create the best conditions for developing gifted students and training them to become good and talented citizens who have both intellectual and physical qualifications to meet the requirements of the country development in the international integration period.
On be haft of the sponsor, Mr. Le Tien Anh – Chairman of the Board of Member of Khanh Viet Corporation gave the speech at the ceremony.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Thanh Quang, Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee said that the teachers and students of Le Quy Don High School should affirm their duties for improving the teaching and learning quality. Firstly, the school should coordinate closely with the relevant organization in solving problems in transportation, accommodation and after school activities for students. The school should make the students feel comfortable when learning in the new place, stabilizing the school discipline and planting trees in the school. After the ceremony, the delegates burned the incense at the scientist Le Quy Don Memorial located in the school yard, planted the trees and visited the school.
