Together with all the people nationwide resuming work after Tet holidays, on the early spring of February 3, 2020, Khanh Viet Corporation (Khatoco) organized a ceremony to promote the production and business in the new year 2020 at Khatoco Khanh Hoa Cigarette Factory.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Tien Anh, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Members’ Council of Khanh Viet Corporation emphasized that the tobacco industry is Khatoco’s key production and business so far. In 2019, the whole tobacco industry completed 100% of the targets assigned by the State. At the beginning of 2020, many difficulties and challenges have arisen such as the strict Law on prevention and control of tobacco harms; the smuggled cigarettes from foreign countries to Vietnam continue to restrict the development of the domestic tobacco industry; the new decree No100/2019/ND-CP dealing with strict penalties for drivers under the influence of alcohol has changed the consumers’ behavior and any how reducing their cigarette consumption. The current corona virus pandemic is depressing the production, business and consumption in Vietnam and over the world. Consequently, it is causing bad effect on Khatoco’s production and business, especially on hotel and tourism sector.
In 2020, Khatoco Khanh Hoa Cigarette Factory must implement very heavy duties. The factory has to maintain the effective production and business while removing the factory to Trang É Industrial Zone, Phuoc Dong commune, Khanh Hoa province. The process of building new factory, removing the factory to the new location and machinery and equipment installation must be done in 2020. Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Tien Anh expressed his belief that with the good tradition of a leading factory in technical innovation movement and training, a cornerstone of Khatoco’s tobacco industry, all the collective leadership and employees of Khatoco Cigarette Factory would unite with determination to overcome the difficulties and challenges for fulfilling the duties in 2020.
At the end of the ceremony, the word “determine” was chanted by all collective staff of Khatoco Khanh Hoa Cigarette Factory to express their determination for innovation, creativeness and effort to fulfil excellently the production and business targets in 2020.
