On August 25, 2019, the Education Promotion Fund of Khanh Hoa province organized the ceremony for honoring the sponsors and awarding prizes to magnificent teachers, studious elderly people and for granting scholarships to poor, studious, excellent pupils and students. Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Dac Tai – Standing Vice Chairman of People’s Committee of Khanh Hoa province; Mr. Pham Van Chi – former Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of Khanh Hoa province, former Chairman of People’s Committee of Khanh Hoa province, Standing Vice Chairman of Management Council of the Fund and the Representatives of the Sponsors together with more than 400 poor, studious pupils and excellent students.
Mr. Nguyen Dac Tai awarded the prizes to the students getting excellent marks in the 2019 national high school graduation examination.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms Bui Thi Hong Tuyen – Director of the Education Promotion Fund said “From the day of establishment of the Education Promotion Fund in 2012 to the end of 2018, there were 191 enterprises inside and outside Khanh Hoa province sponsoring the fund. 6,609 scholarships were awarded to poor, studious and excellent students by this Fund. Each scholarship was worth from VND1- 4 million.”.
Ms. Bui Thi Hong Tuyen and Mr. Nguyen Viet Dan, on behalf of the Education Promotion Fund, awarded the scholarships to the poor students.
From the early of 2019 up to now, there are 36 additional businesses and organizations supporting the Fund. 939 scholarships and prizes worth more than VND 1.5 billion were granted to the pupils and students. Khanh Viet Corporation already contributed VND 411.5 million to this Fund.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tuyen, on behaft of Khanh Viet Corporation, awarded the scholarships to the poor and studious pupils.
At the ceremony, 401 prizes and scholarships worth VND 404 million were awarded to 10 teachers who although faced a lot of difficulties in their lives, tried great effort to fulfil their duties, 2 elderly people who are the typical learners of the movement “Lifelong Learning”, 149 excellent students and 240 poor and studious students. 36 enterprises, organizations and benefactors who have contributed to the fund from the foundation of the Fund until now were honored formally. Especially, Khanh Viet Corporation and KN Cam Ranh Co., Ltd. were proud to be awarded the Certificates of Merit by People’s Committee of Khanh Hoa province for the contribution.
